Grandfather Yusein from the village of Chepintsi was rewarded with the annual “Worthy Bulgarians” Award
Grandfather Yusein from the village of Chepintsi, Smolyan region (Municipality of Rudozem), who became famous for his noble act to build alone a bridge in his village for the needs of all local people, was rewarded with the “Worthy Bulgarians” Award of “24 Chasa” newspaper. This took place in the 17th consecutive official ceremony, organized by the media company. It was held on March 2 (Tuesday) at Hall 6 of the National Palace of Culture in the capital.
The recognition to the 73-year old Muslim was given to him by the Executive Director of “GP Group” Vladimir Zhitenski.
“I would like to greet all the attendees and to thank the organizers. I wish that every year the people with even greater success than ours will increase.” – Grandfather Yusein Madanski said during the official awarding on Tuesday. With this award he is already one of the 700 Bulgarian citizens, who officially receive the “Worthy Bulgarians” Award.
Already 17 consecutive years “24 chasa” newspaper tells bout inspiring stories of the ordinary but worthy Bulgarians. And once a year their official awarding takes place. The number of the “worthy Bulgarians” till 2018 is 650. After this year’s ceremony 50 more people join them, among whom is also the resident of the village of Chepintsi.
We would like to recall that the noble actof Yusein Madanski gained popularity in the past February. After broadcasting of an episode of the “No Man’s Land” production with the participation of grandfather Yusein he invariably won the hearts of hundreds of Muslims in Bulgaria and abroad who united on the initiative to fulfill one ultimate dreamof the elderly man – to visit the Holy places of Mecca and Medina in order to perform the pilgrimage of Hajj.
