On June 29 (Monday) this year the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi gave an official lunch in honor of the Vice-Rector of the Higher Islamic Institute in Sofia Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Canli on the occasion of the end of his mandate to Bulgaria. The meeting was also attended by the deputy grand muftis Ahmed Hasanov, Birali Birali and Murad Pingov, the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, and the directors of the three religious schools in the country – Ahmed Bozov, Shrif Hyusnyu and Tundzhay Sherif.

As a sign of respect and gratitude, at the end of the meeting the Grand Mufti gave Assoc. Prof. Canli a traditional Bulgarian wood-carved panel.
