On June 30 (Tuesday) this year the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi hosted a meeting with His Eminence Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, President of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, who visited Bulgaria in order to share with the Catholic Church the feast of the Apostles Peter and Paul.

The highly-respected guests expressed his satisfaction with his meeting with the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria and shared his impressions from his visit to the country. The meeting was also attended by His Eminence Anselmo Guido Pecorari, the Apostolic Nuncio to Bulgaria, Father Petko Valov, a representative of the Catholic Church, Birali Myumyun, Deputy Grand Mufti and Chairman of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria, and the Secretary General of Grand Mufti’s Office Dzhelal Faik.

As a sigh of respect to the Muslim Denomination His Eminence Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot presented a special gift to the Grand Mufti – a medallion of his institution.
