Children without parents from the region of Pazardzhik received donations from the Turkish organization TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) that included packages with food products. The donations were distributed on May 7 (Thursday) this year with the assistance of the Consulate of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv, in the presence of the representative of the Consulate in Plovdiv Hussein Dünnes. Donations were received by orphans in Rakitovo, Draginovo and Kostandovo, and for their distribution assisted also the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih, the Head of Waqf Department at the mufti’s office in Pazardzhik Mustafa Yusuf, and the local imam of Kostandovo Ahmed Ramadan.

“During the donation campaign were delighted nearly 30 families, who, beside receiving the food packages, were also greeted on the holy month of Ramadan.” – said for Grandmufti.bg the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih. On behalf of all families and on behalf of Regional Mufti’s Office – Pazardzhik he thanked the donors for the good act, and also all intermediaries involved in the implementation of these donations.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, known also with the abbreviation TIKA, already about 30 years has been developing various social, economic and cultural projects. This organization has a great contribution to making Turkey one of the countries that provide the greatest humanitarian help in the world. Today the projects of the organization are implemented in nearly 150 countries on 5 continents in total.
