Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana held the first for the year meeting with the local imams
Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana held the first for the present year, 2020, meeting with the imams from the region on January 29 (Wednesday). It took place in the mosque “Osman Pazvantoglu” in the town of Vidin where also is the headquarters of Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana.
The meeting was officially opened with recitation of parts of Qur’an-i Kerim by the host – the Regional Mufti of Montana Nedzhati Ali.
During the working meeting the participants in it made an analysis of the activities in the relevant settlements during the ending month of January, and the imams presented their monthly reports for the work done. There was discussed the organization of religious talks in the mosques during the winter season, as well as the preparation for the upcoming sacred month of Ramadan which will begin in April this year.
Among the discussed topics on the agenda were also the recruitment of candidates for imams from the region for the year-long training in the Training school for imams in the village of Ustina, Plovdiv region, during 2020, as well as the recruitment of students and university students for the religious schools in the country and for the Higher Islamic Institute in Sofia.
“We have to explain the people the significance and the importance of guiding the children from the Muslim community to study and know their religion and that this is good for them.” – said the Mufti Nedzhati Ali in his address to the imams, participating in the held meeting. He focused also on the fact that it should be explained more detailed to the candidates for training for imams that what is taught in these courses would be just of a great benefit for them. The meeting was closed with a dua (supplication) for prosperity and easy work with the Muslim community in the region during the current year, 2020.
