Mayor of Municipality of Lom Dr. Georgi Gavrilov visited the mosque in Vidin “Osman Pazvantoglu”

The Mayor of the Municipality of Lom Dr. Georgi Gavrilov and the Deputy Mayor in charge of “Education, Humanitarian and Social Affairs and Programs for Temporary Employment“ Eng. Hilda Vladimirova visited the mosque “Osman Pazvantoglu” in Vidin on January 28 (Tuesday) this year.

During their visit the guests were welcomed by the Regional Mufti of Montana Nedzhati Ali with whom they held an official meeting.

“The aim of the visit was the wish of Gavrilov as a newly-elected mayor to get acquainted with the Regional Mufti of Montana and with the activities of Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana, the headquarters of which is in the town of Vidin.” – commented for Grandmufti.bg from the managements of the Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana.

During the conversations in the meeting the two parties shared about the various problems in their municipality, discussed the crisis with the depopulation in the region, as well as ideas about what can be done in the future to the counter the existing problems.

At the end of the meeting the Mayor of Municipality of Lom Dr. Georgi Gavrilov and the Regional Mufti of Montana Nedzhati Ali parted with mutual best wishes, expressing their desire and willingness of the managements of the two institutions for cooperation and mutual assistance in the name of the welfare of the residents of the neighboring municipalities.
