The NCRCB Board held its first meeting for 2020

 

The members of the Board of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRBC) headed by the Chairman Birali Myumyun Birali gathered at the first working meeting for 2020, which took place on January 16 (Thursday).

During the meeting the plan-program for the activities of the Council during the present year, 2020, was discussed.

According to the NCRCB Chairman and a Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali, during 2020 is foreseen to be held inter-faith discussions and round tables the aim of which is to get to know the religion and culture of the other religious communities, gathering of representatives of all of them with an opportunity to discuss common topics and issues arising.

It is planned to organize educational workshops for directors of medical and hospital institutions, as well as for the staff in the administration, the aim of which is to make them aware of the main and specific characteristics of the religious needs of the patients.

“We hope that this will give the sick people calmness so that when entering a medical institution, they will meet understanding and will not warry about their religious beliefs and duties. Because, after all, the comfort of the sick person is directly related to the quality and the final success of the healing process.” – the Chairman of the National Council Birali Myumyun Birali commented in connection with that.

The NCRCB is already working on the preparation of the annual drawing contest for children and youths from the different religious communities which traditionally is on the topic “Faith – a Dream for a Better World”.

The first planned official event, organized by the NCRCB this year, will be a discussion on the topic “The Concept of Repentance in Heavenly Religions” and is expected to take place in the beginning of February in Sofia.

“In 2020 the NCRCB will also continue its activities under the motto “Together in our Diversity”. The desire of the Council is to initiate as many events in the country as possible, so that people from different ethnicities, religions and social circles to have the opportunity for a direct contact with one another, as well as to talk on vital mutual topics and matters.” – concluded the Chairman Birali Myumyun with regard to the plan-program on the NCRCB activities for 2020.
