Muslim women from Northern Bulgaria participated in a religious workshop of Grand Mufti’s Office in Shumen
One of the series of workshops which Grand Mufti’s Office held at the end of 2019 was for women from the Muslim community. It was thematically related to the basic knowledge in Islam and was held within the period of December 26 – 29, 2019 in the city of Shumen.
“The workshop was held under the management of Dr. Selime Hasanova, lecturer at the Higher Islamic Institute (HII), and was attended by 35 women in total at the age above 18 years old, from different regions of Northern Bulgaria” – said for Grandmufti.bg the expert from “Irshad” Department Bahri Izet.
Speakers during the workshop program in Shumen were Hadzher Ahmet, last-year student at the HII, and Gyulshen Ali – vaiz (preacher) at Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana. There also participated the teachers from the Educational Center for Memorization of the Qur’an for women in the city of Bolu, Republic of Turkey – Nevin Öztürk and Rukiye Gani.
Besides the lectures in basic knowledge in Islam the program also included other various activities such as religious singing, handcrafts, etc.
