Grand Mufti’s Office held the annual workshop with the heads of the year-round Qur’an courses in the country

Within the period of December 23-28, 2019 was held one of the annual workshops of Grand Mufti’s Office – for women vaizes (preachers), heads of year-round Qur’an courses at the regional mufti’s offices in our country.

“The workshop, which takes place for a third consecutive year, took place with the kind hospitality of Religious School – Momchilgrad and in it participated 23 women vaizes in total from the year-round Qur’an courses in the entire country.” – said for Grandmufti.bg the expert from “Irshad” Department Bahri Izet.

Speakers during the 6-day workshop were the teachers from the Educational Center for Memorization of the Qur’an for women in the city of Bolu, Republic of Turkey – Nevin Öztürk and Rukiye Gani. In addition, four of the heads of the year-round Qur’an courses in our country also took part in the workshop program where through multimedia presentations they presented to their colleagues the activities of their courses.

“The workshop program included various topics related to the work of the female teachers in the structure of the Muslim Denomination and the activities of the led by them Qur’an courses. the lectures were related to the motivation – how to motivate the teachers themselves and at the same time how to motivate the children in their training in the year-round Qur’an courses. The guest-speakers also addressed the topic about the teaching methodology and the proper approaches in teaching the Tajweed rules.” – further commented Bahri Izet.

The annual workshop for heads of year-round Qur’an courses in Bulgaria was officially closed and at the closing was attended by the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov and the expert from the same department Bahri Izet.

Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi made a brief speech in which he called upon the teachers to fully benefit from such workshops and initiatives. As a sign of gratitude to the foreign lecturers for their participation in the workshop he gave Nevin Öztürk and Rukiye Gani certificates of gratitude on behalf of Grand Mufti’s Office.
