“Muslims” magazine marked its 30^th anniversary with a discussion forum

The 30^th anniversary and the published 300 issues in the entire publishing activity of “Muslims” magazine were marked with a discussion forum held on December 16 (Monday), 2019. The topic of the forum which took place in the House of Architects at 11 Krakra Str., was “Muslim-Turkish Press in Bulgaria”.

Among the official guests of the event were the grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, as well as the deputy grand muftis Ahmed Hasanov, Birali Birali and Murat Pingov. There also participated regional muftis from the entire country, officials from the Muslim Denomination, journalists, public figures and others.

The topic about the Turkish-Muslim press in our country was discussed in details and the history and the development of different press editions in our country were presented. The participants in the discussion highlighted the challenges and the difficulties which they face every day.

The anniversary program of Grand Mufti’s Office ended with a ceremony for presenting anniversary awards for contribution to the development of the print edition.Among the awarded with honorary plaques were authors in “Muslims” magazine, as well as longtime officials in the field of the Muslim Denomination.
