Representative of the US State Department visited the mosque in Sofia

Dr. Denise Natali – the Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations at the US State Department and the accompanying her delegation visited the mosque “Kadi Seyfullah Efendi” (“Banya Bashi”) in Sofia. The visit took place on December 11 (Wednesday), 2019. The guests were welcomed by the Regional Mufti of Sofia Mustafa Izbishtali, Hayri Emin from the Department on International Relations at Grand Mufti’s Office, Emine Sechkina, official at Regional Mufti’s Office - Sofia, and Shenol Kyazim, imam of the mosque in Sofia.

Dr. Natali is in our country in connection with her participation in the Annual Western Balkans Resilience Forum focused on combating violent extremism, which will be held on December 13.
