Preservation of the cultural-religious heritage
On 11th of March, the Sofia Museum of History was a host of a scientific conference entitled “Preservation of the cultural-religious heritage”. The cultural and religious heritage is a kind of spiritual reflection of one society without which the moral upliftment is inconceivable. And if not preserved this leads not to moral or economic but to spiritual crisis, a crisis which if not prevented will cause violation of any kind of moral values. Disrespecting the inter-faith moral values on its turn raises enmity and intolerant attitude among the people. That is why the preservation of the cultural and religious heritage is of a great importance for every religious man according to whom his eternal happiness is hidden exactly in the preservation of the relevant heritage.
Speakers of the conference were Dr. Emine Bayraktarova – lecturer at HII – Sofia, who presented a report on the topic: ‘Ottoman Cultural Heritage in the Bulgarian Lands”, and Chief Assistant Dr. Galina Stefanova-Evstatieva – lecturer in Arabic Culture and Islamic Art at the “Arabic Studies” Department of SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”, who presented a report on the topic: “Islamic Art and the Religious Temple, Specifics of the Regional Styles”.
The conference was attended by the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the MPs Shabanali Ahmed and Byunyamin Hasanov, representatives of the academic society, students and citizens.
Grand Mufti’s Office expresses gratitude to the students from HII – Sofia for their active participation in the organization of the event.
