Book of the late Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Yalamov was officially presented in Shumen

Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen together with the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC) held a program on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the beginning of the democracy in Bulgaria and the reclaim of the Turkish-Muslim names. The event took place on November 28 (Thursday), 2019 in the city of Shumen and was attended by more than 100 people. During the anniversary was also presented the book “Concept for Preservation, Reproduction and Development of the Identity of the Turkish Community in Bulgaria” of the late Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Yalamov. The publication was presented by Dr. Memish Merdan – historian, Tahsin Tahsin – former teacher, Mehmed Beytulla – former MP, Emine Halil and Ismail Dzhambazov. During the presentation of the book were addressed also other problems related to the Turkish and the Muslim community in Bulgaria.

Among the official guests of the event were Vedat Ahmed – Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council, representatives of non-profit associations, representatives of the academic circles and politicians.

The program on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the reclaim of the Turkish-Muslim names included also a cultural part. Students from Religious school “Nyuvvab” and students from the village of Pristoe presented a cultural program with which they brought us back 30 years ago in our not so distant history.
