Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun participated in a working meeting with imams in Haskovo
The Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun Birali and the experts from the Social Department and the Department on Media and Culture Dzhafer Isov and Seyhan Mehmed participated in a regular monthly meeting with the imams from Haskovo region. It was organized by Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo and was held on November 28 (Thursday) in “Eqsi mosque” in the town.
Among the discussed topics in the working meeting were carrying out the campaign “Orphans’ Week” at a local level and the different initiatives that were or are planned to be implemented on that occasion till the end of the week.
“It was clarified that a charity bazaar will be held on Friday, November 29, and as a whole this week and the next one we have planned to be aimed at raising funds for the orphans.” – said for Grandmufti.bg after the working meeting the Secretary of Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo Suray Mustafa.
During the meeting the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun, who is in charge of the social activities of the Muslim Denomination, delivered a brief report to the imams from Haskovo region, with which he informed them and the other participants about the history of the charity campaign and the achieved results during the previous years. There were also outlined some future plans related to the initiative from now on.
The Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi made brief explanations on each of the discussed during the meeting topics. He called upon the imams in the settlements to promote among the congregations there the campaign for the upcoming pilgrimage of Umrah, organized by the Muslim Denomination, as well as to inform the Muslims about the subscription campaign for “Muslims” magazine for year 2020.
Among the discussed during the working meeting topics was also that for carrying out year-round Qur’an courses. The imams were informed about the opportunity and were also asked to inform the management of Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo, in case that they decide to start a year-round Qur’an course in their mosque.
