Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo hosted a meeting with the supported orphaned children from the region 

Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo was a host of one of the series of meetings with orphaned children that were held over the last days within the national campaign “Orphans’ Week” 2019. It took place on November 28 (Thursday) and beside the supported orphans from Haskovo region and their parents and guardians, in the meeting also participated the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun, the expert from the Social Department Dzhafer Isov and the expert from the Department on Media and Culture Seyhan Mehmed.

The meeting was officially opened by the host and Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi who welcomed all participants. The Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun who is in charge of the social activities, focused on the importance of helping orphans, the attitude towards them and the delicacy of this topic as a whole. He informed the participants about the essence of the social activities which the Muslim Denomination implements, and especially focused on the moment with supporting the orphans – the history of the campaign “Orphans’ Week”, its development over the years, the ways of raising and spending the funds, etc.

“The idea of the meetings like this, which we held in a number of regional mufti’s offices in the entire country during the last days, is to make contacts and to get to know the children themselves, their parents and their guardians. Our aim is with this organized meetings to give an opportunity for sharing and discussion of the problems and the difficulties with which the orphaned children live, and also to seek together more adequate ways for solving them.” – further said the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun. In connection with this he used the opportunity to get to know with each of the participating children individually, trying to learn more about them, their interests, problems and their dreams.

The parents and the guardians of the supported children from Haskovo region expressed their deepest gratitude to the Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi and to Grand Mufti’s Office for the provided moral and financial support for the children. One of the participating in the meeting women shared that only the mufti’s office responded to their needs, while all other doors have been closed for them for various unjustifiable reasons.

At the end of the held meeting in Haskovo the children were sent with gifts and the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun reminded them that it is enough in their turn to mention the contributors in their supplications.
