Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov participated in a working meeting of Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo
A regular monthly meeting with the imams from the region of Veliko Tarnovo was held on November 11 (Monday) this year in the mosque of the town. Official guest of the working meeting on behalf of Grand Mufti’s Office was the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov.
The program was opened with Qur’an recitation by the guest-imam from the Republic of Turkey at the mosque in Sevlievo Nuri Aksom. The participants were informed about the agenda which included discussions about “imam hakki”, the activities performed by the imams in the settlements during the last month, October. The participants were informed about the possibilities for training and retraining for imams in the country which are under the form of various courses for enrichment and refreshment of their knowledge. It was focused on the need of finding new employees, candidate for imams, at Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo.
“During the discussions related to the held earlier this year summer Qur’an courses we came to the conclusion that in case of increasing the number of the imams at our mufti’s office we will be able to afford also the organization of more Qur’an courses for children in the summer season.” – the Secretary at Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo Yashar Mehmed commented for Grandmufti.bg.
In the framework of the working meeting were also discussed the topics about the salaries of the imams and the project for introduction of a system for reporting and inspection of mosques. The need of holding religious meetings and talks in the mosques in the region during the winter season was also one of the topics, discussed by the imams.
The Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov informed the participants in the meeting that it is expected the next year to start a system for checking the qualification of the imams in the settlements, which will be implemented by Grand Mufti’s Office. It is also foreseen that the salaries of the imams will be formed on the basis of their professional qualification.
The meeting was officially closed with dua (supplication) for health and fruitful work of all imams.
