Abandoned suspicious bag caused sealing of the region near “Banya Bashi” mosque in Sofia

The region near the “Banya Bashi” mosque was sealed yesterday afternoon after а signal for abandoned bag near the temple was submitted.

The signal was received about 14:04 o’clock, after which at the spot arrived teams of the police and the fire brigade. In order to ensure the safety of the citizens the region was enclosed with a police tape. Explosives special forces checked the content of the bag. It turned out that in the suspicious bag there were clothes and food.

A little later the access to the mosque and the area around it was again opened for passengers-by.
