Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi on a three-day visit to the Russian Federation
The religious leader of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, accompanied by the Secretary General Dzhelal Faik visited the Russian Federation within the period September 22-24, 2019. The three-day visit in Moscow was on the occasion of the official events organized by the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims in Russia, chaired by the Russian Mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
The Grand Mufti of Bulgaria took part in the official celebrations in Russia at the invitation of the Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims in Russia Sheikh Ravil. The celebrations are held on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the opening of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, 25 years of the establishment of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims in the Russian Federation, 20 years of the establishment of the Moscow Islamic Institute, as well as on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the host sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
The official celebrations in the Russian capital gathered more than 500 high-ranking guests from nearly 50 countries around the world. Among them were muftis, intellectuals and politicians from Islamic countries, rectors and representatives of prominent Islamic educational centers and universities in Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, Bulgaria and others.
The anniversary celebrations in the Russian capital were combined with the holding of the 7th Congress of the Muslim Spiritual Council of Russia, which took place on September 23 (Monday) in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
For a first time the temple became a venue for such a grand event with participation of guests from all over the world.
