Regional Mufti’s Office – Dobrich held this year’s regional competition between the summer Qur’an courses in the newly opened mosque in the village of Batovo 

Regional Mufti’s Office – Dobrich held its this year’s competition in basic knowledge in Islam on August 29, 2019.

It took place in the newly opened mosque in the village of Batovo under the management of the coordinator of the summer Qur’an courses in the region Biner Byulent and there was a great interest towards it. 48 children in total from 16 Qur’an courses, divided into groups of three took part in it. The competitors passed three rounds of competition where they had to show their theoretical knowledge related to Islam, to read from the Holy Qur’an as well as to recite by heart the short chapters from the Qur’an.

Before the beginning of the competition the Regional Mufti of the town of Dobrich Bilyal Dardzhan welcomed all participants, teachers and guests and explained the importance of the year-round Qur’an courses, and also greeted the students and their parents for the recognized responsibility and the place which the Qur’an courses take in their life. The work of the children was evaluated by the jury, consisting of the imam of the city of Varna Ismail Ahmedov, the imam of the town of Balchik Ehlin Aronov and the imam of the town of Dobrich Dilyaver Ismet. Official guests of the event were the Regional Mufti of the city of Varna Nuray Shukri and the Regional Mufti of the town of Silistra Myudesir Mehmed, who also delivered greeting addresses and wished the competitors success.

The winners of the competition, as well as all participants, received prizes from regional Mufti’s Office – Dobric and other sponsors.
