Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad held a working meeting with imams

Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad held a working meeting with some of the imams from the region on August 6, 2019. It took place at the “Ahmed Bey” mosque in the town of Razgrad.

The meeting began with welcoming speech on behalf of the Regional Mufti Mehmed Alya and with recitation of verses from the Qur’an-i Kerim by Shakir Ahmedchikov – imam of the town of Razgrad.

The Regional Mufti delivered a brief report on the work of the Regional Mufti’s Office, there were analyzed the summer Qur’an courses in the settlements, and some current topics were also discussed.

The Regional Mufti made some clarifications related to the preliminary preparation for the celebration of the holiday of Eid-al Adha such as cleaning the yards and the internal areas of the mosques, announcing after the adhan (call for prayer) the day and the time for the festive prayer for Eid-al Adha. It was focused on the proper clothing of the imam (cübbe and sarık), as well as the conditions for the qurban (sacrificial animals). Some practical reminders were given, related to performing the prayer for Eid-al Adha and to the reading the khutbah (sermon). In connection with this all imams received preliminary prepared khutba for the Eid-al-Adha and other materials. The meeting was closed with a dua (supplication).

Meeting like this are going to be held in the towns of kubrat and Isperih as well.
