The children from all 12 summer Qur’an courses in Tarnovo region spent together one unforgettable day

At the initiative of Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo and with the active participation of the local coordinator of the summer Qur’an courses Yashar Mehmedov the children from all 12 courses in the region gathered in the Old town. They spent together the day of Saturday, the last weekend, and filled it with a lot of excitement and smiles.

On August 3, the students, accompanied by their teachers, gathered at the “Sveta gora” park in Tarnovo. They were welcomed by the Regional Mufti Syuleyman Masurev who delivered a welcoming speech to the group pf nearly 90 people. The mufti focused in his speech on the importance of the summer Qur’an courses and of the religious education of the youngsters. After that the children had the opportunity to play football and to participate in many other sports games and activities. During the joint meeting the children from the different courses got acquainted with each other and made a lot of new friendships.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Muslim boards of trustees from the region, as well as parents of children who had assisted for their transportation from their home settlements to Veliko Tarnovo.

The day ended with a picnic provided by Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo, and the children and the parents expressed their satisfaction with the wonderful day, which they spent together.
