The group of 209 Hajj pilgrims of Grand Mufti’s Office is already in the Holy Lands

The group of 209 Hajj pilgrims, who decided to perform the important ibadah (act of worshipping) of Hajj this year with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office are already in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The group includes Muslims from Bulgaria as well as immigrants from our country, who are living nowadays in the Republic of Turkey.

The group of Hajj pilgrims from Bulgaria left on July 27 (Saturday) evening from three meeting points – Gotse Delchev, Shumen and Sofia. Their flight from Turkey to Saudi Arabia was on Saturday and the second part of the group of Hajj pilgrims – from Istanbul, Çorlu, Izmir and Bursa, joined them in Istanbul.

“The group is accompanied by 10 leaders in total, representatives of the organizational team. Among them are the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, the regional muftis of Sofia and Kardzhali Mustafa Izbishtali and Beyhan Mehmed, as well as the Head of the Administrative Department at Grand Mufti’s Office Beyhan Mehmed. With us is also the representative of Grand Mufti’s Office in Turkey Yusuf Nizamoglu. We are waiting the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi also to join the group. If needed the Hajj pilgrims can use the services of the medical team accompanying us, which consists of a doctor and a nurse.” – said for grandmufti.bg from Mekkah the Head of “Hajj” Department Dzhemal Isa.

He told that after arriving in Makkah where the group will stay 22 days in total, it performed the rite of Umrah on July 29. During their stay in the holy city the Hajj pilgrims will visit all important historical places in the region, including also the caves related to the Islamic history. On August 9 they all will perform the pilgrimage of Hajj.

According to the head of “Hajj” Department in addition to everything else every evening in the hotel there are organized religious lectures for the Hajj pilgrims. They will be delivered by different speakers.

“After the 22-day stay in Mekkah we will stay for 8 days in the city of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Medina. Our return flight to Turkey is on August 27. InshaAllah (God willing) all will be at their home places in Bulgaria on August 28.” – further said Dzhemal Isa from “Hajj” Department.
