The memory of the innocent victims who died during the attempted coup in Turkey was commemorated for third consecutive year 

With a religious program which took place on July 12 (Friday) 2019 in the “Baniya Bashi” mosque in the capital, the memory of the martyrs who died during the attempted military coup in neighboring Turkey during the summer of 2016 was commemorated.

The program was organized together with the Muslim Denomination and the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia. Its official part included reading of Qur’an and Mawlid and it was attended by representatives of the Grand Mufti’s Office in the Republic of Bulgaria and of the Turkish Embassy in Bulgaria. At the end of the commemorative event in the mosque of Sofia Turkish delight was distributed to all participants on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria. 

It is already a tradition that every year the Muslim community in Bulgaria commemorates with religious commemorative programs in different cities the memory of the martyrs who died in the bloody attempted military coup in Turkey three years ago.
