Delegation led by Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi visited the Ministry of Hajj of Saudi Arabia

On July 3 (Wednesday) 2019 the delegation from Grand Mufti’s Office visited the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi was accompanied by his deputy Birali Myumyun Birali and the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC) Vedat Ahmed.

The guests from the Republic of Bulgaria were welcomed by the Minister of hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammad Salih ibn Tahir, and their visit took place exactly on the eve of the arrival of the first Hajj pilgrims for season 2019. The pilgrims for Hajj 2019 from all over the world will be welcomed on the territory of the Kingdom within a month starting from July 4.

In the framework of the official meeting Dr. Ibn Tahir expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the visit of the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria and the accompanying him representatives of the Muslim Denomination in the Republic of Bulgaria. The Minister of Hajj shared his knowledge in history as well as some things related to the life and the problems of the Muslims before the changes in 1989. Dr. Ibn Tahir expressed his sincere admiration for the strength of the Muslims during those difficult times, who fought by all means to preserve their identity and the integrity of the state in which they live.

The Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi in his turn also expressed his gratitude for everything which is being done as activities by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the organization during the pilgrimage of Hajj to facilitate the stay and the performance of the rites of the pilgrims.

The activities and the preparation related to the Hajj every year is observed directly by the King of Saudi Arabia, who wants to be familiar in details with what is happening. Thus it is a great responsibility which the Kingdom takes to the entire Muslim community in a global scale.” – said Minister Dr. Mohammad Salih ibn Tahir during his meeting with the Bulgarian delegation.

The two parties united on the opinion that gathering several million people at one place in the same time is a great challenge to the Kingdom. This is a period of the year when people from different ethnicities, different cultures, with different languages, from different social circles meet, which in its turn complicates their stay together.

Nevertheless,” – the Minister assured, “the responsible institutions take care about the pilgrims. Our embassies all over the world prepare their visas and the transport companies with which they travel meet serious technical requirements, in order to ensure a safety trip and to perform the pilgrimage of Hajj in the best possible way.” – Dr. Ibn Tahir further added.

Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi said that the task of the Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria is to participate in this overall organization in the most beneficial way. And the pilgrims from the Republic of Bulgaria perform the pilgrimage of hajj thanks to organization which is result of the joint efforts and the interaction between the institutions in Bulgaria and in Saudi Arabia.
