The building the Grand Mufti’s Office in the capital was subjected to Islamophobic attack

Today, July 4, 2019, at 18:20 o’clock the building of Grand Mufti’s Office on 27 Bratya Miladinovi Str. was subjected to an Islamophobic attack. It was committed by an unidentified person who in front of dozens of witnesses broke with stones the windows of the ground floor of the building.

The act of the vandal was also recorded by the security cameras. Fortunately during the attack there were no injured people. The recording of the cameras shows that after committing the attack the perpetrator run in an unknown direction.

This is another one violation towards a building of Grand Mufti’s Office in the capital. The Muslim Denomination will insist the case to be investigated as a hatred crime and not just as an act of hooliganism.

We recall that just three days ago another hatred crime was also committed, against the Kurshum Mosque in Karlovo.
