Muslim Denomination strongly condemns the desecration of “Kurshum Mosque” in Karlovo

We met with indignation the news about the vandal attack towards “Kurshum Mosque” in Karlovo on July 2. We consider it outrageous and highly inappropriate to express Nazi and sexual predilectionson a religious temple. This serial act of abusing a Muslim shrine is unacceptable, especially to “Kurshum Mosque” which has sentimental value for the Muslims in Bulgaria.

The Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria calls upon the law enforcement authorities and the Municipality of Karlovo to undertake the necessary measures for finding the perpetrators and for preserving the temple.
