Even 85% of the students in the university are foreigners.

One of the discussed during the meeting issues was to determine a regulation on the education of students from Bulgaria in Medina, as well as the possibility to obtain post-graduate specialization, carrying out short-term courses, workshops and training for students and Muslim clerics from Bulgaria. Priority in this joint educational project will be learning and mastery of Arabic language, because this knowledge is the foundation for the people dealing with Islamic studies.

Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Oteibi expressed the opinion that the leading position of the Muslim clerics and of the people dealing with religion and religious training especially in countries with different religious communities opposition must be avoided. Instead a dialogue and positive inter-faith interaction should be sought, further said during the meeting the Rector of the University of Medina Dr. Oteibi.
