Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna held its June working meeting with imams from the region

Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna held its regular monthly meeting with the imams on June 20 (Thursday) this year. It took place at the central mosque of the city of Varna “Aziziye” and a host was the interim regional mufti of the city Nuray Shukri.

The agenda of the working meeting included an overview of the activities of the local imams during the past month of Ramadan. Each of them presented an official report on the performed activities during this period as well as explanation about the funds raised in his settlement within the annual national campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office in support of the Islamic education.

The imams from Varna region also discussed the implementation of the upcoming summer Qur’an courses. It was emphasized on the introduction of more innovative educational methods in working with children on behalf of the imams, as well as forming different groups in the Qur’an courses according to the level of the children. The aim of this is to avoid situations, in which participants who take part for several years repeat the already learnt during the past years. For regional coordinator of the summer Qur’an courses at Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna was elected the imam of the “Aziziye” mosque in the maritime capital Ismail Ahmedov.
