Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna sent its long-term seconded from Turkey imam Ömer Üzeyir after the end of his mandate

After successfully completed 5-year mandate as an imam at Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna, hafiz Ömer Üzeyir from the Republic of Turkey was officially sent by his colleagues from Bulgaria.

The official event on sending home the seconded imam was organized by the mufti’s office in Varna together with the local Muslim community. The festive program was attended by the Regional Mufti of Dobrich Bilyal Dardzhan, by the imams and the staff of the regional mufti’s office, as well as by guests from the entire region.

The interim Regional Mufti of Varna Nuray Shukri gave his colleague hafiz Ömer Üzeyir honorary plaque as a sign of gratitude for his contribution to the religious development of the Muslims in Varna over the past five years. He received gifts souvenirs on behalf of the mufti’s office in Varna and the Muslim Denomination of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The occasion was used also to officially present the new employee, seconded by “Diyanet” Directorate of the Republic of Turkey. Salih Kaplan will be working as an imam at Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna at the place of the previous imam Ömer Üzeyir during the next five years.
