Turkish Embassy gave Ramadan iftar-dinner for the Muslim community in Sliven
The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria hosted a Ramadan iftar-dinner in the town of Sliven on May 29, (Wednesday), this year. It was held with the active cooperation of the Regional Mufti’s Office in Sliven and took place at the mosque of the town. Nearly 100 people from the local Muslim community participated in the event.
Grand Mufti’s Office was presented at the event by the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun Birali. It was also honored by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bulgaria Dr. Hassan Ulusoy and the Social affairs attaché at the Embassy in Sofia Mehmet Genç. The Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in the city of Burgas Nuray İnöntepe also participated.
The host and a Regional Mufti of Sliven Akif Akifov addressed all the guests in his welcoming speech thanking them for responding to the invitation. He expressed gratitude also to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the person of Ambassador Dr. Hassan Ulusoy for the kind sponsorship. The latter also greeted the participants and wished them gracious completion of the sacred month of Ramadan.
