Turkish Ambassador hosted an official iftar-dinner with representatives of different religious communities

 

On the evening of May 27 (Monday) this year the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria held an official Ramadan iftar-dinner. Invitation for the dinner was sent to the Board of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRCB) as well as to representatives of the diplomatic missions of countries with Muslim population. Representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church also attended the iftar.

The Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria was presented by the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun Birali who is currently the NCRCB Chairman, as well as by the Secretary General of the Mufti’s Office Dzhelal Faik.

“In his address as a host the Turkish Ambassador Dr. Hassan Ulusoy highlighted the importance of the activities which the Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria carries out for the development of the good inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogues and for the cooperation between the religious communities in the country on various matters of general relevance.” – shared for Grandmufti.bg the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali after the meeting.
