Iftar-dinner brought together hundreds of people in “Imaret mosque” in Plovdiv

This Ramadan, on May 25 (Saturday), 2019, the “Imaret Mosque” in Plovdiv welcomed more than 200 people, who gathered for a Ramadan iftar-dinner. It was sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria and took place with the assistance of Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv.

The iftar in the small mosque in the center of Plovdiv was one of the series of iftars during the sacred for the Muslims month of Ramadan, which the Turkish embassy in Bulgaria gives in different settlements in the country.

On this occasion official guests at the iftar-dinner was the Turkish Ambassador Dr. Hassan Ulusoy. Grand Mufti’s Office was also presented – by the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun Birali. The event was also attended by the Chairperson of the Municipal Council Savina Petkova, the Secretary General of the Regional Administration Borislav Dimov as well as by representatives of the various ethnic and religious communities in the city under the hills.

Greeting addresses to the guests of the iftar were delivered by the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun, the Turkish Ambassador Dr. Hassan Ulusoy and by the Chairperson of the Municipal Council of Plovdiv Savina Petkova.
