Imams and members of Muslim boards of trustees from the region of Veliko tarnovo met at an iftar-dinner in Gorna Oryahovitsa
Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo organized a Ramadan dinner for the imams from the region and the chairmen and the members of the Muslim boards of trustees. It took place on May 23 (Tuesday) this year in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa.
Official guest of the Ramadan dinner was the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.
The iftar-dinner was complemented by a program prepared by the hosts on this occasion. It included a welcoming speech to all guests on behalf of the Regional Mufti of Veliko Tarnovo Syuleyman Masurev.
The Grand Mufti in his turn expressed his satisfaction with the fact that all invited imams, chairmen and members of the local Muslim boards of trustees responded to the invitation for the iftar-dinner. In his address to the participants he focused on the current campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office “Month for Supporting the Islamic Education”.
After the iftar and performing the evening prayer in the mosque of Gorna Oryahovitsa the team of Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo went to the Old Capital. There the Grand Mufti delivered a religious talk for the local congregation prior the tarawih prayer and again addressed the current campaign to support the Islamic education on Bulgaria, and focused on the upcoming summer Qur’an courses of Grand Mufti’s Office, that are scheduled to begin after the end of the month of Ramadan. Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi called upon the parents from the Muslim community in the region of Veliko Tarnovo not to miss this worthly opportunity for their children.
