Regional Mufti’s Office – Ruse gave iftar-dinner for the local Muslim community

 

Regional Mufti’s Office – Ruse hosted a Ramadan iftar-dinner for the Muslims from the region on May 19 (Sunday) this year.

The dinner took place in one of the grandest waqf estates in the city the ownership of which is still litigated.

Among the official guests of the Ramadan event were Şemsettin Şimşek – Social affairs attaché at the Consulate general of the Republic of Turkey in Burgas, the Director of the Religious School – Ruse Tundzhay Sherif, the guest-imams from Turkey at the mufti’s office in Ruse, imams, representatives of the Muslim boards of trustees in the region, as well as public figures and intellectuals from the city of Ruse.

Before gathering round the Ramadan table, the guest-imams at Regional Mufti’s Office – Ruse presented a thematic religious program.

In his welcoming address to all guests as a host, the Regional Mufti of Ruse Yudzhel Hyusnyu expressed his gratitude to the people for responding to the invitation and focused on the importance and the social advantages of the month of Ramadan. The representative of the Turkish Consulate in BUrgas, Şemsettin Şimşek, in his turn officially thanked for the invitation for the iftar, sent by the hosts.

The Ramadan iftar-dinner in the city of Ruse ended with joint dua (supplication) for health, prosperity and welfare.
