BAGHIE held a charity bazaar in Sofia to support the Islamic education in Bulgaria 

The Bulgarian Association of the Graduates with Higher Islamic Education (BAGHIE) organized and held a charity bazaar to support the Islamic religious education in our country. It was held on the evening of May 16 (Thursday) in front of the centralmosque “Banya Bashi” in Sofia and was within the annual national campaign that takes place “Month of the Support for the Islamic Education”.

“Main organizers of the charity event were the BAGHIE Chairman Beyhan Mehmed and the representatives of the management the organization Dr. Selime Hasanova and Gyuler Yaha.” – said for Grandmufti.bg the expert from “Irshad” Department Bahri Izet. He also added that the bazaar was implemented with the active cooperation and the help of all present and former graduates of the Higher Islamic Institute (HII) in Sofia.

The bazaar which took place at the yard of the mosque between the evening and the night prayer on Thursday included a great variety of home-made food, sweets, as well as various religious accessories and attributes.

“As a result of the held in the capital charity bazaar to support the Islamic education in Bulgaria the amount of 1455.00 BGN was raised.” – further said Bahri Izet.

The National Campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office to Support the Islamic Education in Bulgaria traditionally takes place every year during the month of Ramadan. This year the one-month initiative was launched on May 6 and will continue till June 6.
