The Mayor of the Municipality of Belitsa for another year hosted an official iftar-dinner 

On Friday evening, May 17, 2019, the Mayor of the Municipality of Belitsa Radoslav Revanski hosted an official iftar-dinner on the occasion the sacred for the Muslims month of Ramadan. The iftar-dinner is an annual event and has been given by the Mayor of Belitsa for already fourth consecutive year. The Ramadan dinner traditionally brings together representatives of the various religious denominations in the region.

Official guests of the Ramadan event this year were the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Deputy Grand Mufti and a Chairman of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria Birali Myumyun Birali, the Regional Muftis of Blagoevgrad and Pazardzhik – Aydan Mohamed and Abdullah Salih, as well as imams from the region and official religious figures and representatives of the Christian community in Belitsa.

“I am pleased and proud with the fact that we shared together, Muslims and Christians, public figures, cultural activists, businessmen, the Ramadan dinner. With such events we prove that in Belitsa peace and understanding are the way to the development of the Municipality” – commented on the occasion this year’s traditional for Belitsa official iftar-dinner the Mayor Radoslav Revanski.
