Department on Education held a workshop in Istanbul for the teachers from the religious schools in the country

Within the period April 25 – 29, 2019 the Department on Education at Grand Mufti’s Office held a workshop for the teachers from the three religious schools in the cities of Ruse and Shumen and in the town of Momchilgrad, as well as for the teachers in “Islamic religion” in the state schools in the country.

The workshop was held in the city of Istanbul, Turkey and was attended by 40 teachers in total. They had the opportunity to listen lectures by eminent professors in the field of the religious education.

The group from Bulgaria visited mosques, famous areas and cultural monuments in the city of Istanbul. They were honored by the Mufti of the city of Istanbul Kamil Yilmaz and also by the Director of the religious education at the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Turkey Nazif Yilmaz, who visited the workshop. 

“Such training workshops are important in terms of increasing the quality of education and keeping up with the new trends in the field of education” – said Nazif Yilmaz in his address to the teachers from Bulgaria.
