Team of Grand Mufti’s Office visited the Republic of Turkey and held meetings with previous Hajj pilgrims and current candidates to perform pilgrimage of Hajj

On March 18, 19 and 20, 2019 representatives of Grand Mufti’s Office were in neighboring Turkey where they visited four Turkish cities and held a number of meetings. In the Bulgarian delegation participated the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, the Head of “Irshad” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office Dzhemal Isa, the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed and the Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi. In three consecutive days they visited the cities of Çorlu, Istanbul, Yalova and Bursa. 

Some of the meetings which the team from Grand Mufti’s Office held in Turkey were with the pilgrims from the past year, who performed the rite of Hajj in 2018 with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office. They all were officially given certificates for successfully implemented pilgrimage as well as video materials from Hajj 2018 as a memory.

There were held also meeting with candidates for Hajj who are planning to perform the pilgrimage of Hajj with Grand Mufti’s Office during the present year. On this occasion within their visit to Turkey the delegation from Bulgaria held a meeting also with the Mayor of the Istanbul Municipality “Mustafa Kemal Pasha” Sadi Kurtulan. He is an immigrant from the region of Pleven to Turkey and the representatives of Grand Mufti’s Office asked him for assistance in recruiting candidates for Hajj who to perform the pilgrimage with the organization of the Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria.

The representatives of the Denomination held also a meeting with representatives of “Bal-Göç” – the largest immigrant organization on the territory of the Republic of Turkey.

During the 3-day stay in Turkey the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov gave interviews for local Turkish media in connection with this year’s campaign for the pilgrimage of Hajj 2019 and the recruitment of candidates from our neighboring country.
