Meeting of the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih and the Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Bulgaria York Schuegraf

On March 20 (Wednesday), 2019 the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih and the Deputy Ambassador of Federal Republic of Gernamy to Bulgaria York Schuegraf met at a working lunch in the town of Velingrad.

The meeting took place in the framework of a visit of the German diplomat to the town of Velingrad and the settlements in the Region of Pazardzhik – the town of Sarnitsa and the village of Aleko Konstantinovo. The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the life of the local Muslim community. During the meeting which was also attended by the imam of the town of Velingrad Aziz Mehmed, there were discussed various issues related to the life and the problems of the local Muslim population.

Before parting the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abudllah Salih sent the highly ranking guest from the Embassy of Germany to Bulgaria by giving him as a gift a copy of the Holy Qur’an and the book “Islam against Violence”, published by the Muslim Denomination.
