Grand Mufti’s Office held an annual workshop for the staff of the Muslim Denomination
Religious School “Nyuvvab” in the city of Shumen hosted the fifth consecutive Annul Workshop for the staff of the Muslim Denomination on January 4-6, 2019.
Main hosts of the event were the Regional Mufti of Shumen Mesut Mehmedov and the Regional Mufti’s Office - Shumen.
The workshop program was opened on January 4 at the Conference Hall of “Shumen” Hotel with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by the Regional Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli.
Welcoming speeches were delivered by the host, by the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, as well as by the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi. He greeted the participants and thanked them for the joint and successful work in the Muslim Denomination. Dr. Hadzhi wished the participants peaceful year for all believers round the world, full with health and prosperity.
“With every passed year the Muslim Denomination in the Republic of Bulgaria proves as an institution which successfully cares about the religious life of the Muslims in Bulgaria and also with minimum cpabilities manages to help also for the harmonic spiritual life of the Bulgarian Muslims abroad.” – further said in his address to all participants in the workshop the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.
The program of the workshop also included discussion of the annual activities of the Muslim Denomination for the present year, 2019, as well as the difficulties and the challenges which the religious institution in our country faces. Furthermore the representatives of the different departments of Grand Mufti’s Office as well as the regional muftis from all 20 regional mufti’s offices had the opportunity to present to their colleagues their annual reports on the activities which they implement.
The program of the 3-day workshop was varied by a cultural and entertaining program with performances of ilyahi (religious songs) and Turkish folk music in the building of Religious School “Nyuvvab” in the city of Shumen.
The workshop was closed with a dua (supplication) on January 6 (Sunday), 2019.
