The Supreme Muslim Council held its first meeting for 2019

The first for this year meeting of the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC) was held on January 6 (Sunday), 2019.

It took place at Religious School “Nyuvvab” in the city of Shumen, where Vedat Ahmed – the SMC Chairman greeted the members and the guests at the meeting and wished them a blessed 2019 year during which the Muslim Denomination to work harder for the understanding, the welfare and the prosperity in the spiritual life of the Muslims in Bulgaria – for preservation of our cultural values, both today and in the future.

At the first for 2019 year meeting the SMC members discussed the activities of the Council during the last year and also the draft-budget of the Muslim Denomination for the new year – 2019. Within the meeting the Annual Report of the Secretary General of the Muslim Denomination Dzhelal Faik for the work of Grand Mufti’s Office was adopted. Furthermore during the meeting the Financial Department presented its report for the past year – 2018.

Before the official closure of the meeting there were addresses also several administrative and financial issues, related to the SMC work.
