Grand Mufti’s Office held a meeting with pilgrims from Hajj 2018
On December 30, 2018 Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria held a meeting with pilgrims, who performed the pilgrimage of Hajj during 2018 with the organization of the Muslim Denomination.
The meeting took place in the village of Debren (Municipality of Garmen), and 20 Hajj pilgrims took part in it. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Ahmed Hasanov, who was leader of the organizational team of Hajj 2018, the Head of “Hajj and Umrah” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office Dzhemal Isa and one of the guides of the Hajj pilgrims during the last year – Osman Kutrev, who is a vaiz (preacher) at Regional Mufti’s Office – Blagoevgrad.
The aim of these meetings which we traditionally hold every year after performing the pilgrimage, is to discuss with the Hajj pilgrims the organization and the conduct of the Hajj in the Holy Places and what and how can be improved with regard to this,” – commented for Granmdufti.bg the Head of “Hajj and Umrah” Department Dzheal Isa.
During the meeting with the Hajj pilgrims in the village of Debren the representatives of the organizational team of Hajj 2018 gave the Muslim pilgrims certificates for successfully completed pilgrimage to the Holy Places, as well as videos for memory.
During the past year, 2018, 266 Hajj pilgrims in total from Bulgaria and the Republic of Turkey performed the pilgrimage of Hajj with Grand Mufti’s Office. The group was accompanied by an organizational team of 12 people in total – 10 qualified guides and 2 medical officers.
According to Dzhemal Isa “Hajj and Umrah” Department of Grand Mufti’s Office is already working on launching the Hajj 2019 campaign. – “Very soon we will officially announce the beginning of this year’s Hajj campaign” – he said.
