The Regional Muslim Council at RMO – Kardzhali held a regular meeting

On November 26, 2018 at the premises of Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali took place a meeting of the Regional Muslim Council. The meeting began with reading of verses from the Qur’an by the Director of the Religious School in Momchilgrad Mr. Ahmed Bozov. Then the Regional Mufti Beyhan Mehmed welcomed all participants and informed them about the agenda of the meeting.

The topic about supporting orphans and the ongoing social campaign “Orphans’ Week” was discussed first. There was also addressed the topic about the subscription for “Muslims” magazine for the upcoming year 2019. The Regional Mufti called for holding a more active campaign both from the imams and the Muslim boards of trustees in the settlements. There was payed attention to the topic about further training of the imams in the training course for imams in the village of Ustina. There were also proposals such training course to take place on the territory of RMO – Kardzhali.

Other topics on the agenda were the nominations and awarding the “Hodzhazade Mehmed Muhiydin Efendi” prizes, organization of winter sohbets (religious talks), recruitment of candidates for teachers in the subject “Islamic religion”, the sale of the building of the future Islamic Institute in Bankiya by the National Revenue Agency, the project for organization of training courses leading to profession, opening of masjid in the central bus station of the town of Kardzhali, printing of templates and registering the religious marriages in the region and other. The Regional Mufti informed the participants about the upcoming presentation of the book of Mr. Ibrahim Yalamov “Concept” in the town of Kardhzali. After completing the agenda the meeting was closed with a dua (supplication) for health, peace and prosperity.
