The Ombudsman of the Republic of Turkey visited the tomb of Malkoçoğlu

On November 18, 2018 the Regional Mufti of Veliko Tarnovo Syuleyman Masurev together with the Chairman of the Mosque’s Board of Trustees of the village of Burya, municipality of Sevlievo, Myumyun Mutishev welcomed the Ombudsman of the Republic of Turkey Şeref Malkoç, accompanied by the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in the city of Plovdiv Hüseyin Ergani. The meeting was also attended by the imam of the central mosque of Veliko Tarnovo Nuri Aksom.

The hosts and the guests visited together the türbe (tomb) of Malkoçoğlu in the village. Malkoçoğlu is the grandfather of the Ombudsman Şeref Malkoç.

After that they visited and saw the sights in the town of Sevlievo, where there are 2 mosques, the one of which is a heritage from the Ottoman Empire.

The meeting ended with a lunch where the guests expressed their satisfaction with the visit and the welcome they had and expressed their intentions for other visits.
