Regional Mufti of Montana honored the celebrations on the occasion of Dimitrovden – the religious holiday of Vidin

For a number of years the residents and the guests of the town of Vidin have celebrated the religious holiday of the town – Dimitrovden. On this occasion and at the personal invitation of the Mayor of the Municipality of Vidin Eng. Ognyan Tsenkov the Regional Mufti of Montana Nedzhati Ali honored the celebrations for another one year. They took place on October 26 (Friday), 2018.

The celebrations were opened with a solemn liturgy at 9:00 o’clock, then at 10:30 o’clock continued with a religious procession along Bdintsi square. Within the celebrations there also took place a festive ceremony, and at 12:00 o’clock began the official session of the Municipal Council – Vidin.

The festive celebration of the religious holiday of the town of Vidin was also attended by the Metropolitan Danail of Vidin, the Regional Governor of the town Albena Georgieva and the Deputy Regional Governor, as well as the Mayor of the town Eng. Ognyan Tsenkov, deputy mayors and municipal councilors.

This year’s holiday of the town of Vidin ended with solemn fireworks at the central square of the town.
