Imams from the region of Shumen met for October working meting

On October 24 (Wednesday) 2018 in Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen took place a working meeting with the imams from the region. The meeting was held in the meeting room of the Mufti’s Office in Shumen. 

The working meeting was opened with reading of Qur’an-i Kerim and continued with a lecture on behalf of Mustafa Özdemir, guest-lecturer of the training course for imams in the city of Shumen. The topic of the lecture was “The place of the mosque in Muslims’ life and the work of the imam”.

During the meeting an analysis of the held initiative “Week of Mosques” which took place in the period October 15 – 21 this year, and the organized events in connection with this in the region. There were also addressed other topics related to the work of the regional mufti’s office and the work of the imams.

The imams from the region of Shumen received letters of gratitude on behalf of the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi for their active participation in the campaign for raising funds in support of the Islamic education.
