Grand Mufti took part in symposium on “Social activity of mosques” in Turkey

On the occasion of the initiative “Mosques’ week” in the city of Malatya of the Republic of Turkey was organized and held a symposium on “Social activity of mosques”.

The symposium was organized by the Faculty of Theology of the İnönü University. The Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi also took part in it and was accompanied at the international event by the Regional Mufti of Shumen Mesut Mehmed.

“Mosques are not only a place for worshipping, but also a place for education”, said in his address to the participants in the symposium the Dean of the Faculty of Theology and host of the international event Prof. Dr. Fikret Karaman.

In his speech during the symposium in Turkey the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi highlighted the need of construction of mosques in some settlements in Bulgaria. He informed the participants in the symposium about the real problem in our country – that there are places where there are Muslims but there are no mosques and the people have to perform their prayer outdoors.
