Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna held this year’s Regional Competition in Basic Knowledge in Islam 

Regional Competition in Basic Knowledge in Islam 2018 took place in the central mosque of Vanra “Aziziye” on August 29^th 2018”. Children from 10 Qur’an courses in total took part in the competition this year.

Leader of the competition was the Regional coordinator Raim Raimov. The opening began with reading of Qur’an-i Kerim by hafiz Ömerali Özer. The interim Regional Mufti of Varna Nuray Shukri welcomed all participants and wished them success.

The difficult task to assess the religious knowledge of the children was assigned to a jury, composed by:

1. Dzhelil Dzhelil – teacher in RS “Nyuvvab” - Shumen

2. Hyusein Ahmed – expert at Irshad Department at Regional Mufti’s Office - Aytos

3. Ömerali Özer – guest-imam from the Republic of Turkey

The winners of the competition, as well as all participants in it, were awarded prizes. Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna expresses heartfelt gratitude to the competitors, to the teachers in the Qur’an courses and to the parents, who made efforts for the education of the young Muslims.
