A meeting between the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria Dr. Nargiz Gurbanova and the Regional Mufti Myuddesir Mehmed took place in Silistra 

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria Dr. Nargiz Gurbanova visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Silistra on September 5 this year. The visit was initiated by the diplomat who was in the region with regard to the celebration of the feast of Alfatar – the smallest municipality in the region of Silistra.

Dr. Nargiz Gurbanova met in Silistra with the local Regional Mufti Myuddesir Mehmed. Within the meeting were discussed different topics. The diplomatic representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan in our country highlighted that the political and economic relations between the two countries are at a very high level. Dr. Gurbanova did not miss to share also about her relations with the Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria and said that she is extremely thankful to the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.  She recalled that during the past year, 2017, he visited her country for participating in an international conference.

The Ambassador promised that during her next already scheduled visit to Silistra on the occasion of another event she will spend more time to visit the town and for a meeting in Regional Mufti’s Office – Silistra.

It was a great honor to me to welcome at a visit the representative of the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan in our country, as it will also be an honor for Regional Mufti – Silistra to be visited also by other diplomats of any other foreign diplomatic mission – said got Grandmufti.bg the Regional Mufti of Silistra Myuddesir Mehmed.
