Regional Mufti's Office - Plovdiv held this year's Regional Contest in Basic Knowledge in Islam too

On 28^th of August this year, the Regional Mufti’s Office - Plovdiv held a Regional Contest In Basic Knowledge in Islam 2018. It took place in "Imaret Mosque" in the city under the hills and a total of 12 children from the summer Qur’an Courses in Plovdiv region took part in it.

The little Muslims were divided into two contest levels according to their level of preparation in Basic Knowledge in Islam. There were a total of three rounds of the competition, as the participants had to show theoretical knowledge in Islam, read from the Holy Qur'an, and recite the short surahs from the Qur'an by heart.

The knowledge of the children was estimated by a 3-member jury which consisted ofAdem Isov – an imam at “Imaret Mosque” in Plovdiv, Kemile Isova - teacher at the Qur’an Course in Plovdiv, and Gyulsyum Gyun - teacher in the Qur’an Course in the village of Branipole in Plovdiv.

From the two contest levels of the competition, a total of six finalists were announced – at first, second and third place, respectively. The children received certificates, testimonies and gifts on the behalf of the organizers.
